The second workshop on funding opportunities and proposal drafting was held in Sarajevo from 31.01 to 03.02.2023. The aim of the workshop was to share information among the members of the SMARTWATER project (and key stakeholders) about possible funding opportunities as well as developing concepts for the new project proposal.
Expert lectures about funding opportunities were delivered by Ivana Cavoski from Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), Bari, Italy. Also, an expert lecture about structural and financial aspects of the proposed project idea was delivered by Virginia Belsanti and Nour Samir.
Twenty participants attended the workshop in person from Portugal, Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Besides this, other members of the project consortium followed the meeting online.
Many great ideas were discussed among the participants, and this workshop served as a great opportunity for everyone to exchange ideas, identify common goals, and start preparing project proposals. And in the words of Ivana Cavoski
“It was not training, it was mutual learning.”
