The Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences of the University of Sarajevo, together with project partners, the University of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the Centro Internazionale di Altistudi Agronomici Mediterranei (Italy), the Agencia Estatal Consejo Superior Deinvestigaciones Cientificas (Spain), the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (Portugal), and Sysman Progetti & Servizi Srl (Italy), within the framework of the H2020 Twinning project SMARTWATER – “Promoting Smart Agricultural Water Management in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” is organizing a workshop aimed at bringing together experts and stakeholders to stimulate discussion on strengthening research and innovation capacities in the application of sustainable agricultural water management practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The workshop will be held on March 5, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at the premises of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences of the University of Sarajevo, located at Zmaja od Bosne 8, 71 000 Sarajevo.

The aim of this workshop is to create a plan for enhancing research capacities and contribute to the creation of an environment that stimulates the development of innovation capacities in this field. During the workshop, the most significant achievements during the duration of this project will be presented, with a special focus on the current situation and development perspectives, as well as factors hindering further growth and development of the agriculture and food sector.
