The University of Banja Luka (UNI-BL) is founded in 1975. Today, it represents the largest university in Republic of Srpska and the second largest university in Bosnia and Herzegovina. UNI-BL is composed of 17 faculties and Institute of Genetic Resources. The main role of the UNI-BL is the education and training, as well as research and development, including the transfer of technologies. More than 15,000 students are enrolled in different studies at the UNI-BL. There are a total of 147 study programs on all three cycles of study. The UNI-BL staff is presented in more than 1.500 employees. UNI-BL has a significant international cooperation, with over 100 cooperation agreements with higher education institutions and scientific institutions from BiH and other countries. UNI-BL is engaged in various international projects: Erasmus+ (60 KA1 ICM and 15 KA2 CBHE projects), CEEPUS programme, TEMPUS (89 projects), Erasmus Mundus (6 projects) and Horizon 2020 projects (8).

The Faculty of Agriculture is one of the 17 faculties at UNI-BL. It is established in 1992 and represent one of the leading educational institutions in agricultural sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Teaching is being organized in a three-cycle studies system. The Faculty of Agriculture employs more than 70 university professors and teaching assistants and 35 administrative staff. The academic staff of the Faculty of Agriculture participated in implementation of over 100 national and 40 international projects (INCO EU, FP 6/FP 7/H2020, HERD, TEMPUS/ERASMUS etc.). Scientific research at this faculty is organized through six institutes and 12 departments, with 17 laboratories in total. The Faculty of Agriculture is organizing International scientific symposium AgroReS (АгроРеС) and publishing national scientific journal “Agro-knowledge Journal” (Aгрознање). Together with UNI-BL, faculty is currently coordinating two international projects (H2020 SMARTWATER and Erasmus+ VIRAL
