As part of the SMARTWATER project, the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sarajevo, organized and hosted the first in a series of three workshops entitled “Horizon Europe and proposal writing” in the period from October 11 to 13, 2022.
Team from Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) held lectures about the overview of EU funding programs with a focus on Horizon Europe and practical exercises on how to submit a proposal. There was a total of 11 participants at the lectures from the University of Banja Luka and the University of Sarajevo.
During and after the workshop, the participants were given certain tasks that include definition of the problem or idea for the project as well as formulating goals, activities, impacts and outputs, which should end with the created draft of the project proposal. The participants were shown ways to collect information on EU portals and other tools, which can be useful for the assigned tasks.
